Career Center
The Career Center is dedicated to providing comprehensive, quality career development and employment or internship programs and resources that prepare a diverse student/alumni community to successfully meet today's and tomorrow's challenges by offering financial support through practical and career related work experience,
providing individual advising, workshops, resource materials, and special events to assist students with life planning,
developing employment opportunities and fostering partnerships with on and off campus community and
enhancing services through innovative technology, program development, and continuous updating of resources through research and analysis.
Health Center
The UCSC Student Health Services provides services which promote physical and emotional well being focused on the diverse needs of students and
creates a caring and supportive environment to assist students in improving their physical and emotional well being to aid in their academic success.
Ethnic Resource Center
The AARCC provides a wide range of support programs for African American students and other students.
The AIRC plays a key leadership role in creating and maintaining a positive climate for racial/ethnic diversity at UC Santa Cruz.
The AA/PIRC provides and enhances opportunities for developing leadership skills, building a stronger sense of community on campus, and linking students to community service opportunities.
El Centro provides a variety of programs and initiatives that address the issues of retention and matriculation for Chicana/o Latina/o students.
Office of Physical Education, Recreation and Sports (OPERS)
OPERS, located at East Field, holds physical education courses, co-recreation intercollegiate athletics sport clubs, intramural sports
and a Wellness Center.
Disability Resource Center (DRC)
DRC exist to assist the UCSC campus with equal educational access for students with disabilities.
Their goal is to support retention and graduation of students with disabilities,
collaborate with students, faculty, staff and community resources to provide effective academic services and
promote a non-discriminatory campus environment and encourage student development and independence.
Learning Support Services
Learning Support Services are designed to help students excel academically.
Peer guided group sessions called Modified Supplemental Instruction (MSI) are available for
selected lower and upper division undergraduate courses.
Content related tutoring is available for all classes that are not supported by MSI. Additionally, Writing tutoring is available in writing courses as well as for writing assignments in courses throughout the disiplines. Tutoring is available to all UCSC students.
Students can also receive assistance in organizing course related peer study groups. In addition, Learning Support Services functions as a referral service and directs students to appropriate learning assistance at UCSC, including study strategies workshops,
department sponsored tutoring, and organized study groups.
